COVID Mask Policy (effective February 16, 2021)

Volunteers are now able to remove their masks at FIND events if they show full proof of vaccination at the time of signing in for the volunteering event. If volunteers cannot or do not show full proof of vaccination, we will kindly ask that they wear a mask at all times during our events.

  • A Vaccine card or photo of the Vaccine card will suffice as proof
  • You will need to show your card each time you volunteer

Volunteers play a crucial role in our work, especially as FIND’s services remain in high demand amid skyrocketing gas and grocery prices. Groups and individuals are welcome to join us at our warehouse, in our office providing administrative support, or out on-site distributing food throughout the desert region at our Community Mobile Markets.

You can help fight climate change, hunger, and food waste all while serving those in need in our local communities! California Volunteers Office of the Governor and FIND Food Bank are pairing up again to bring the next generation to the frontlines of the problems facing our planet allowing them to become part of the solution.

Apply to be a Fellow in the AmeriCorps California Climate Action Corps program and serve as a Fellow for 11 months at FIND Food Bank. Commit to a year of service and receive monthly stipends working on local climate action goals and projects to make a greater impact on the communities we serve.

California Volunteers created the California Climate Action Corps program to advance climate actions that engage community members, cultivate change, and leave a lasting impact. Activities include volunteer engagement, assessment, and education projects. Fellows will assist FIND Food Bank with organic waste and food recovery efforts by participating in projects that will increase volunteer engagement and food recovery efforts. Volunteer Information regarding Coronavirus
Information regarding Coronavirus (COVID-19)

At FIND Food Bank, there is no higher priority than the safety of our volunteers, staff, and the people we serve. We maintain a clean facility and follow the best practices for food safety and COVID safety guidelines. Due to the recent global spread of Coronavirus (COVID-19), we ask volunteers who have experienced any symptoms of illness in the last 14 days to stay home.

At this time, all volunteer sessions will run as scheduled. See below for new COVID-19 safety protocols.

FIND welcomes anyone aged 16 years and over to volunteer.
