As the Desert’s Regional Food Bank, and one of the 200 Feeding America Food Banks in the US, we face the challenge of raising sufficient funds to supply those experiencing food insecurity with the nutrient-rich food to meet their basic needs. In 2023, FIND distributed over 28 million pounds of food, the equivalence of over 30 million meals. Not only does the food ensure our clients have access to essential nutrition, it allows them to redirect their limited income towards rent and mortgage payments to prevent homelessness, medical care to stay healthy, and lower stress to help them perform better at school and work.
Giving Society Members’ commitment to FIND helps us supply nearly 100 local agency partners with 75% to 100% of their food supply. In addition, we operate our own 46 Community Mobile Markets in ‘food deserts’ across our region. Every major soup kitchen, homeless shelter, religious organization, and food pantry in our desert region relies on FIND’s equitable distribution of fresh fruits, vegetables, protein, and dairy that we source from all across California and the United States. In total, FIND has over 175 distribution sites over a 10,000 square mile service area.

FIND's Giving Society reconoce el compromiso y el apoyo de los inversores más generosos y con mentalidad comunitaria de FIND Food Bank. This sustained funding ensures that FIND has consistent and regular resources to solidify our core business functions for our region. As the State of California and the County’s recognized disaster response emergency food bank, FIND is the hub for all state and federal food deployment in our service area. The support of Giving Society Members ensures FIND Food Bank, the Desert’s Regional Food Bank, will remain strong through normal times and pandemics, always being prepared for the future.
