Every hour you give at FIND Regional Food Bank helps nourish lives across the Coachella Valley and Hi-Desert. Volunteers are the heart of our mission, packing, distributing food, and delivering to our most vulnerable neighbors. Annually, more than 4,000 volunteers have contributed their time to FIND, providing support equivalent to nine full-time staff and significantly reducing administrative costs.
Why your help matters:
- Support working families: Nearly 40% of the people we serve are working adults still struggling to make ends meet
- Reach homebound neighbors: Volunteers who deliver groceries help seniors like Karl, age 83, who shared how much companionship and support this service brings
- Experience community and purpose: From weekly warehouse teams to distribution site camaraderie, volunteers like “The A Team” and Martha McCarthy find deep meaning and connection in service

Volunteer options:
- Warehouse work (ages 17+): Sort, inspect, and pack donations for distribution
- Homebound deliveries (ages 18+): Deliver pre-packed groceries to those unable to leave home
- Teen volunteers (14-17): With adult supervision, youth can pitch in at the warehouse or distribution events
- Corporate and group opportunities: Build team spirit while giving back through sorting or distribution events
